Fred Thomson, CPA
Fred's hometown is Monticello, FL. He graduated from FSU with a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1965, and was admitted to the Beta Gamma Sigma business honorary society. He worked as a staff accountant in a CPA firm in Titusville, FL until 1969, then moved back to Tallahassee to continue in the practice of accounting. He became a partner in a local Tallahassee firm in 1971, left to become a sole proprietor in 1972, and was a founding partner of what is now Thomson Brock Luger & Company in 1974. He moved to an ‘of counsel’ status with the firm in 2005 with forty years of accounting practice experience at that time.
